For ITE staff, please confirm with your Section Heads
whether you have been enrolled in the respective classes in
eStudent. If the block enrolment in eStudent has been completed,
your account will be imported into eTutor during our weekly
import when term start.
If you have been enrolled into a class in eStudent, yet still
not able to access eTutor after one week, please report to IT
Help Desk and provide these details :
- Your NRIC / FIN number
- Your Full Name
- Your Contact number/e-mail
- Your Campus
- Your Department
- Your Module Class Details e.g. EE2001PA
/ NYTC / 2377
- Your School Term e.g. July 2007
For students and guests, please approach your
Class Teacher to ensure your class enrolment record has been
updated in eStudent. If the block enrolment in eStudent has
been completed, your account will be imported into eTutor during
our weekly import when term start.

Pop
up Blocker |
| |

The pop-up blocker
prevents new window from automatically opening, they need to be
turned off while you're taking your course.
How do you turn them off? First you have to find them. Here are
some of the common ones: |

a) If your OS
is Microsoft Window XP with Service Pack 2
Please note that Microsoft XP SP2 will add a new pop-up windows
blocker in the Internet Explorer. The pop up blocker will prevent
the courseware window from displaying properly.
To turn Off the Pop-up Blocker, go to Tools>Pop-up
Blocker, click on the 'Turn Off Pop-up Blocker'.

Note: When installing the Flash Web Player,
there is an option for you to install Yahoo/Google Toolbar. Remember

properly.
Note : Installing Authorware Web Player in Windows Vista
When installing Authorware Web Player in Windows Vista, you need to Allow (see below) the installation to proceed even if you are logged in with administrator rights.

Date and Time Properties |

a) Click on the clock that appear at the bottom right of your
PC and you will see the 'Date
and Time Properties' screen as shown below.
b) Select the 'Time Zone'
tab (as shown below) and make sure that the time zone setting
in your PC is '(GMT+08:00) Kuala
Lumpur, Singapore'. If not, select this time zone from
the combo box.
c) Click on the 'Date & Time'
tab to ensure that the Date
and Time shown is today's
date time.
d) Click on 'OK' once
the setting is correct. |

| 11. I am using Windows Vista at home, and have problems accessing my lessons in e-Tutor. | |

| Internet Explorer in Windows Vista runs in Protected Mode to protect your home computer.
You need to temporarily disable the Protected Mode when accessing e-Tutor, so that your online lessons can be shown properly by Internet Explorer.
After you have finished e-learning in e-Tutor, you can turn on Protected Mode again, to protect your home computer when you visit other web-sites.
a) Click on Tools > Internet Options... (as shown below)
 b) Click on the Security tab. c) Un-check the box beside Enable Protected Mode, if it is checked. d) Click on the Trusted sites zone. e) Click on the Sites button. f) Enter *.ite.edu.sg into the box on top. g) Click on the Add button. h) Click on the Close button. i) Click on the OK button. j) Protected Mode is now Off (see bottom right of screen).
